Probably my second favorite part of this scene.
He’s shocked… which is made clear by the hesitation of his hands. He doesn’t know where to put them, doesn’t know if he can touch her like he’s always wanted to—dreamed of. He’s unsure and rightly so after all they’ve been through, so he must be dreaming, right? But no, he feels her lips on his, kissing him willingly, and the wet warmth emanating from her body. He wants her, loves her. He wants to believe that when he opens his eyes, she’ll still be there, because after four years longing, in one moment, Kate—his Kate—was finally where she belonged.
Its almost like he’s fighting with himself; like he wants so badly to just touch her and hold her because love is not a switch but he is just so damn angry and shocked and confused and he doesn’t want to give in.
